The National Weather Service in League City has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Western Galveston County in southeastern Texas...
  Eastern Fort Bend County in southeastern Texas...
  Northeastern Brazoria County in southeastern Texas...
  Central Harris County in southeastern Texas...

* Until 615 AM CDT Sunday.

* At 1213 AM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
  thunderstorms producing heavy rain over these areas at 2 to 5 inches
  per hour. Flooding is already widespread in these areas. The storms
  training from south to north across the area and are expected to
  continue to redevelop along the length of the rainband. Many roadways
  are impassable and high water rescues are ongoing.

  This is a FLASH FLOOD EMERGENCY DO NOT ATTEMPT TO TRAVEL. IF FLOODING
  THREATENS YOU GO UP IF POSSIBLE. THIS IS A PARTICULARLY DANGEROUS
  SITUATION.

  Northwestern Pasadena, Pearland, southwestern League City, Sugar
  Land, Missouri City, Friendswood, Alvin, Stafford, South Houston,
  Bellaire, West University Place, Galena Park, Jacinto City, Jersey
  Village, Manvel, Hunters Creek Village, Bunker Hill Village, Piney
  Point Village, Downtown Houston and Greenway / Upper Kirby Area.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

This is an extremely dangerous and life-threatening situation. Do not
attempt to travel unless you are fleeing an area subject to flooding
or under an evacuation order.
