COUNTIES INCLUDING THE CITIES OF CHAFFEY AND MOOSE LAKE...

...THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 500 AM CDT FOR
NORTHEASTERN PINE...SOUTHEASTERN CARLTON AND SOUTHWESTERN DOUGLAS
COUNTIES...

At 136 AM CDT, radar and automated weather stations reported three
to four inches of rainfall has fallen across northeast Pine,
southeastern Carlton, and southwestern Douglas counties in the past
three hours. Flash flooding is occurring and has washed out Highway
23 over the Nemadji river. Other roads are washed out as well.

This is a FLASH FLOOD EMERGENCY for Douglas, Carlton, and Pine
counties including the cities of Chaffey and Moose Lake. This is a
PARTICULARLY DANGEROUS SITUATION. ROADS HAVE BEEN WASHED OUT. SEEK
HIGHER GROUND NOW!

Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Hawthorne, Barnum, Mahtowa, Solon Springs, Gordon, Holyoke, Nemadji,
Foxboro, Bennett, Sturgeon Lake, Pleasant Valley, Nickerson, Moose
Lake State Park, Belden, Duquette, Moose Junction, Amnicon Lake,
Chaffey, Harlis, and Pattison State Park.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Move to higher ground now. This is an extremely dangerous and
life-threatening situation. Do not attempt to travel unless you are
fleeing an area subject to flooding or under an evacuation order.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
