...THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1115 AM CDT FOR
SOUTHEASTERN HIDALGO COUNTY...

At 729 AM CDT, Hidalgo County emergency management reported multiple
vehicles submerged under water due to heavy rainf from thunderstorms
over portions of southeast Hidalgo County. 4 to 6 inches of rain
have fallen. Flash flooding is expected to begin shortly.

This is a FLASH FLOOD EMERGENCY for southeast Hidalgo County. This
is a PARTICULARLY DANGEROUS SITUATION. SEEK HIGHER GROUND NOW!

Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Edinburg, Mission, Pharr, San Juan, Alamo, Donna, Hidalgo, Elsa,
Palmhurst and North McAllen.

Additional rainfall amounts of 2 to 4 inches are possible in the
warned area.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Move to higher ground now. This is an extremely dangerous and
life-threatening situation. Do not attempt to travel unless you are
fleeing an area subject to flooding or under an evacuation order.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Please report flooding to your local law enforcement agency when you
can do so safely.

A Flash Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring.
If you are in the warned area move to higher ground immediately.
Residents living along streams and creeks should take immediate
precautions to protect life and property.
