With weak winds aloft and daytime instability, showers and a few thunder showers have popped up with the daytime heating and not moved very far before dissipating. The result is a very splotchy display of estimated rainfall as featured with today map. It shows U of Iowa estimated rainfall on Monday centered over Polk County.
