Today's featured movie presents National Snow and Ice Data Center SNODAS analyses since the first of the year. The daily analysis of snow depth nicely shows the rapid onset of snow cover over Iowa during January and the rapid removal into February. With the snow all gone and a lack of cold air masses from our north, temperatures have been running very warm for this time of year with records being set somewhere in the upper Midwest about every day. Even warmer temperatures are expected into Thursday along with a chance of thunderstorms.
