High Temp Ranges
Posted: 18 Mar 2021 05:38 AM
The featured chart presents the number of days for the year to date season that the high temperature
for Des Moines was within the given range for this year, last year, and on average. We have seen
anomalously higher accumulations both on the cold end and on the warm end of this chart. For days
above freezing, we have accumulated nine fewer days than last year. It is kind of interesting how the
20 thru 31 degree category worked out with all three values basically at nineteen days! For near term
forecast looks to accumulate days only in the 50+ degree bin, which is doing well for mid March.
