Warm temperatures this week eradicated much of Iowa's snow cover to the displeasure of those wanting a "White Christmas". Today being Festivus and the date for miracles, it appears a late snowfall before Christmas will occur for the northwestern half of the state. The featured map presents the NWS NDFD forecast snowfall until noon on Thursday. The wind will be howling too, which will blow this snowfall around and make for dangerous travel and bitterly cold wind chills.
