Soil temperatures have responded nicely with the current stretch of warm air temperatures. The featured map is an IEM analysis that bias corrects a weather model's soil temperature analysis with observations from the ISU Soil Moisture Network. The combination provides good resolution over Iowa and indicates above freezing conditions on average for yesterday.
