There was concern on Tuesday that the heavy rainfall falling yesterday would fall over the same areas that picked up 4-7 inches on Monday. Thankfully this did not happen. The featured chart compares individual grid pixels in the Iowa Flood Center precipitation product. The chart is a histogram showing the number of pixels picking up a given combination of Tuesday vs Monday precipitation. The intense totals each day conveniently are isolated. Hopefully the rain expected later this week will miss these areas as well.
