Central Iowa has missed out on the heaviest snowfalls this year. Numerical models have been teasing a snow storm for the middle of this week, but recent runs have backed off on the amounts and moved the heaviest totals to the north. The featured chart presents accumulated snowfall predictions using the Cobb method from weather model simulations from Monday evening. Whereas runs from yesterday morning had upwards of eight inches falling, the more recent guidance has little more than a dusting.
