The month of May has started off on the windy side as shown by the featured graph of hourly winds reported by the Ames Airport. The GFS model forecast for the next two days is also shown and after a bit of a relax in the winds today, Friday will again be blustery as well. The plot also shows the wind direction (dots) on Friday will be out of the northwest helping to bring in much cooler air for the weekend.
