A rather rare cut off upper level low has been parked over the Southeastern US this entire week. We were far enough away from it to keep our skies clear and weather very pleasant. This system is finally getting caught up into the strong westerly flow and will be moving away from Iowa today. Our forecast for the weekend is mostly dry with a dry week expected next week, which is great news for farmers who are making good progress on the fall harvest now.
