Today is the first official full day of summer and the storms that have impacted Iowa these past 2 days have certainly behaved like summer-time storms. NEXRAD composite on Friday morning shows an area of heavy rain in Eastern Iowa with reports of nearly 6 inches of rainfall since last night in Iowa City. More rain is on the way today as this stormy pattern continues until Sunday.
