An anamolous upper level low to our east brought cool air over the state in the middle of the lower atmosphere. With a strong June sun, the atmosphere destabilizes and showers develop moving along the northwest flow and track to the southeast. You can see these tracks in the rainfall estimates for yesterday. This pattern will repeat today with the storm system slowly moving away by tomorrow.
