A few of the storms may approach severe limits with marginally severe hail and wind gusts. Localized heavy rain will also be possible. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday The combination of heat and humidity will push heat index values into the mid 90s with some locations approaching 100 on Friday into Saturday. A few isolated non-severe storms are possible Thursday morning and then again Thursday evening. Otherwise, more widespread showers and thunderstorms are expected to mainly arrive over northwestern Iowa by Sunday and over central and eastern Iowa by early Monday lasting through much of Tuesday.
