README for yearly 'Kitchen Sink' reports

Data Source:

   - Daily observations from the National Weather Service Cooperative
     Observer (COOP) network in Iowa dating back to 1951.

Data File(s):

   - One file named 'yearly.csv'

Data Format:

   - Comma delimited.  Should directly import into most any spreadsheet
     or stats package.   The latitude and longitude columns should also 
     make this file an easy import into GIS as an event theme.

Data Units:
   - Rainfall is in inches
   - Temperatures are in Fahrenhit

Data Fields:

   stationID   => Identification for a site
   stationName => Traditional name for the site
   Latitude    => Current latitude of the site
   Longitude   => Current longitude of the site
   
   (Now for each year [1951 -> 2004], there are 3 columns.)

   ????_MINT -> Average minimum temperature for year ????
   ????_MAXT -> Average maximum temperature for year ????
   ????_PREC -> Total precipitation for year ????
   ????_GDD50 -> Total Growing Degree Days Base 50 for year ????
   ????_SDD86 -> Total Stress Degree Days Base 86 for year ????

   (Then the 3 columns are climatologies)

   CYR_MINT  -> Climatological yearly average daily minimum temperature
   CYR_MAXT  -> Climatological yearly average daily maximum temperature
   CYR_PREC  -> Climatological average yearly precipitation total
   CYR_GDD50  -> Climatological average yearly GDD total
   CYR_SDD86  -> Climatological average yearly SDD total
